Kreider & Diller Builders is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our in-house construction team serving Lancaster County and the surrounding area.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who knows the trade, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can handle a variety of carpentry work. You'll work alongside experienced carpenters and field leadership on residential and commercial projects ranging from renovations and additions to new construction, multi-family, and specialty projects.

We're a third-generation, family-owned construction company that has been serving the Lancaster area since 1959. We believe in doing things the right way, maintaining high standards, and employing our own skilled carpenters rather than subcontracting all of our field work.

What You'll Do

• Perform hands-on carpentry on residential and commercial construction projects
• Complete rough and finish carpentry work
• Frame walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, and other structural components
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, molding, and other finish materials
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials accurately
• Read and work from blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications
• Assist with renovations, additions, new construction, and remodeling projects
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Identify potential issues and communicate them to the Foreperson or project leadership
• Maintain K&D's standards for quality and workmanship
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Follow company safety procedures and job-site requirements
• Work effectively with other carpenters, subcontractors, and trades
• Represent Kreider & Diller professionally while working at customer and project locations

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who knows carpentry, works hard, and takes pride in producing quality work.

You should have:

• Previous hands-on carpentry or construction experience
• Experience with rough and/or finish carpentry
• Knowledge of common construction methods, materials, and tools
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install building materials
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction calculations
• Ability to follow blueprints, plans, and instructions
• Experience with framing, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, or similar carpentry work
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
• Knowledge of basic job-site safety practices
• Valid driver's license
• Physical ability to lift and move construction materials, work on ladders and at heights, and perform construction work in varying weather conditions

No specific degree or certification is required.

Compensation & Schedule

• $25–$30 per hour, based on experience
• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• 40-hour typical workweek with a 30-minute lunch
• Field-based position serving projects in and around Lancaster, PA
