Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and maintain accurate access records. You will provide professional customer service, use technology to support security-related operations, and remain visible to help deter incidents. - Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Verify credentials, authorize entry in accordance with established procedures, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Monitor access points, gates, alarms, and surveillance systems; document security-related observations, incidents, and unusual activity using required reporting tools.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations within the chemical/petrochemical environment to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
