To continue this success, we are hiring for an Australian Potato Seed Manager to lead the potato seed program to deliver the required volume, quality and security of supply across PepsiCo’s proprietary variety portfolio. The role converts the variety strategy into an integrated seed pipeline, allocation and grower development plan that improves chipstock performance, supports reliable factory supply and creates sustainable competitive advantage for PepsiCo Australia.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute seed supply strategies to ensure reliable availability aligned with crop demand and business objectives.
  • Manage seed growers and supplier partnerships to drive performance, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Oversee seed quality, inventory, storage, and distribution processes to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Lead seed-related biosecurity, pest, disease, certification, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Support variety commercialization, agronomy programs, and business planning through effective stakeholder collaboration and reporting.
  • Qualifications

    About you:

    • Degree in Agricultural Science or a related field, with 5+ years’ experience in seed production, agronomy, agricultural supply chain, or R&D.
    • Strong knowledge of crop production, seed systems, pest and disease management, and agricultural best practices.
    • Proven ability in planning, forecasting, data analysis, risk management, and operational execution.
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills across growers, technical experts, and business leaders.
    • Proficient in digital tools, inventory management, and working independently in complex, geographically dispersed environments.
    • Experience in potato seed production, certification, storage, or supply.
    • Exposure to proprietary varieties, variety commercialization, agricultural trials, or supplier/project team leadership.
    • Postgraduate qualification or MBA.
