Product Manager Issuing

We are seeking a Product Manager – Issuing Platform to lead the strategy, development, and growth of our card issuing and embedded financial services platform. This role will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, driving the evolution of issuing capabilities, and coordinating execution across Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Commercial teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong product management experience with a solid understanding of the payments ecosystem, card issuing, transaction processing, and API-driven financial platforms. They will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, translating customer needs into scalable solutions, and delivering products that drive business growth across multiple markets.

This role requires a strategic, data-driven, and execution-oriented professional with experience in fintech, payments, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or Embedded Finance. The Product Manager will play a key role in building innovative financial infrastructure solutions that enable fintechs, digital banks, and enterprises to launch and scale modern payment and issuing programs.

Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE
Lead the strategy, definition, execution, and growth of the Issuing Platform product, enabling physical and virtual card issuing, transaction processing, authorization controls, program configuration, and embedded financial services for fintechs, digital banks, and enterprise clients.
WHAT TYPE OF PRODUCT MANAGER WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Product Manager with strong exposure to financial infrastructure, payments, APIs, and B2B platform products. This is not a role focused primarily on consumer app UX or growth; it requires someone who can connect business needs, technical architecture, compliance, risk, and operations into scalable issuing capabilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Issuing Platform.
• Prioritize initiatives based on customer value, business impact, operational readiness, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Manage the product backlog and translate client and business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Lead the evolution of physical and virtual cards, card lifecycle management, tokenization, authorization controls, spending controls, APIs, fraud controls, and program configuration.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Commercial, Customer Success, and Finance teams.
• Collaborate with clients, card networks, BIN sponsors, processors, and technology partners to define scalable solutions.
• Support pre-sales and solution design for strategic opportunities.
• Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement based on data, customer feedback, incidents, and market needs.
SUCCESS METRICS
• Transaction volume and revenue generated by issuing products.
• Number of active card programs and cards issued or activated.
• Adoption of key platform capabilities and API usage.
• Authorization approval rates, platform availability, and operational reliability.
• Customer satisfaction, implementation timelines, and reduction of operational incidents.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of Product Management experience in fintech, payments, banking, card processing, or financial infrastructure.
• Experience with issuing, card processing, BaaS, embedded finance, wallets, payment platforms, or API-based financial products.
• Experience working with agile product development teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in multi-country or LATAM environments is highly desirable.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE
• Card ecosystems, including Visa, Mastercard, BINs, program management, and card operations.
• Transaction authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, disputes, fraud prevention, and risk controls.
• API-first products, platform architecture concepts, and integration lifecycle management.
• Payment regulation, compliance requirements, and operational controls for financial services.
