CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist 2 performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist the physicians during cardiovascular procedures and surgeries.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Uses imaging equipment to help doctors detect and treat any heart and blood vessel issues.
2. Takes patients’ medical history and answers patients’ questions before any procedure is done.
3. Ensures that the equipment is in good working order and ready for use.
4. Maintains Sterile Scrub Technique.
5. Assists Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiologist during diagnostic and invasive procedures.
6. Assists with Catheter Ablation for cardiac arrhythmias.
7. Setups, measures and records advanced diagnostic cardiac rhythm values, and troubleshoot.
8. Assists the physician with inserting catheters and other invasive procedures.
9. Performs advanced data manipulation to assist with electrophysiology studies and ablations.
10. Assist with implantation of device for cardiac rhythm management.
11. Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to recommend and maintain the supply chain of products in the Electrophysiology (EP) suite.
12. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degree in relevant field required

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required

Certification and Licensing:
Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements
