Job Highlights:
- Make a meaningful impact in behavioral health care. We are seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Intake Therapist to support patients during critical moments of care. In this night-shift role, you will complete behavioral health intake assessments and help connect patients to the appropriate level of care across multiple ministry locations.
- Schedule: This is a full-time night-shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including a weekend rotation.
- Work locations: This position floats between four locations, providing variety and the opportunity to support both remote intake and emergency department settings.

- Preferred experience: Hospital experience is preferred. Experience in school therapy, community-based therapy, counseling, addiction services, or other behavioral health settings will also be considered.
- Skills needed: Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records are required.

Job Summary:
Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
- Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
- Facilitates admission of in-patients and out-patients based on physician orders. Coordinates transportation to another facility and/or referral to a lower level of care as indicated.
- Documents calls and related admission information. May staff crisis hotline as needed.
- Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies.
- Performs insurance verification and prior-authorization based on payor requirements.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
