Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Mobile Responder, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.13 - £18.30 per hour
Summary:
Cardiff Council is seeking a Mobile Responder to provide an efficient, friendly and responsive emergency service to Telecare Cardiff users.
The successful candidate will support vulnerable and elderly customers by responding to emergency alarm calls, providing practical assistance and helping to ensure their safety and wellbeing. The role requires someone who can work confidently and independently, including during night shifts and weekends, while maintaining high standards of customer service and safeguarding.
Responsibilities:
- Visit customers' homes following emergency alarm activations or issues reported through the Contact Centre.
- Respond effectively to sensitive and emergency situations.
- Liaise with next of kin, care agencies and emergency services where required.
- Install, programme and reprogramme dispersed alarm units, pendants and fast-dial buttons.
- Maintain clear, accurate and concise records of customer visits and alarm responses.
Essentials:
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, using confidence, initiative and sound judgement.
- Previous experience delivering customer-focused services and information.
- Confident using technology, including IT systems, mobile apps, tablets and two-way radios.
- Ability and willingness to work independently, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
