Job Description
Are you looking for your next opportunity?
Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Sr. Recruiter, Early Career Talent Acquisition in our Talent Acquisition team.
We are looking for a seasoned, relationship-driven Senior Recruiter with a passion for early career talent to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition team. This is not an entry-level role. It is a strategic recruiting position for someone who brings deep experience, a strong point of view, and a knack for matching great talent with the right opportunity.
As a key architect of our early career recruitment strategy, you will serve as both a recruiter and a connector—linking rising talent with roles that launch careers, while partnering closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR colleagues across the organization. From sourcing and selection to intern conversion and program advocacy, you will have a hand in building and advancing our next generation of leaders.
Location: This position will be based out of our Purchase, NY, New York, NY, Alpharetta, GA or Charlotte, NC offices. We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers.
Our business, your impact, our opportunity:
What you’ll be doing:
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for 150–180 early career roles annually across business units—managing everything from sourcing and screening to selection and offer negotiation.
• Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and HR colleagues to understand workforce plans, role requirements, and the evolving needs of the business.
• Act as a connector between recruiting efforts and early career programs—collaborating with Learning & Development, Mobility, and Campus teams to ensure seamless candidate experiences and successful program outcomes.
• Represent the brand externally, building strong relationships with universities, career services, and talent sources; designing and leading high-impact campus and virtual engagement strategies.
• Own and evolve the recruitment calendar, planning and executing events, interview days, and onboarding activities in alignment with hiring timelines and campus cycles.
• Drive decisions with data, track and analyze hiring metrics (pipeline health, diversity mix, school effectiveness, and offer conversion) and provide regular updates to HR and business leaders.
• Be a talent ambassador, articulating the value of early career roles and showcasing the growth potential of internships, co-ops, and entry-level programs.
What you’ll bring:
• 7+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably with a focus on early career, university relations, or rotational programs within Insurance or Financial Services organization.
• A strategic mindset paired with the ability to roll up your sleeves—balancing short-term hiring goals with long-term talent pipeline strategy.
• Proven success in sourcing and engaging diverse, high-potential talent across multiple channels and institutions.
• Experience managing high-volume, multi-role recruitment with excellent prioritization, organization, and follow-through.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you know how to build trust with candidates, hiring managers, university partners, and internal stakeholders.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to influence, align, and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Confidence in leveraging data and systems (Workday Recruiting preferred) to inform your strategy and track progress.
• Willingness to travel during peak seasons (January–April and August–November) for recruitment events, on-campus interviews, and intern engagement.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
