Description
We’re excited about the future, and we’d love you to be part of it. If you're passionate about shaping what comes next and making a meaningful impact, we’d be delighted to have you explore this role with us. We’re proud to offer a vibrant employee experience that fosters growth, collaboration, and opportunities across our diverse operations, creating an environment where you can thrive.
We are recruiting a results-oriented, team-spirited and highly organised individual to join our team as Inventory Planning Analyst. Reporting to the Divisional Purchasing Manager, the analyst supports the expansion of the division's inventory and demand planning capability across four Caribbean business units. The analyst owns the purchasing function's data, metrics and reporting, and as the division's new ERP goes live, runs independent demand plans and inventory analysis to guide replenishment, stock levels and working-capital efficiency. The role's location is flexible across the division's operating territories.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Purchasing Data & KPI Reporting: Build, populate and maintain divisional purchasing KPI dashboards (fill rate, inventory turns, weeks of inventory, aged stock) across the business units; and establish consistent measurement methodologies across units operating on different systems, resolving data-classification and data-integrity issues.
Market & Vendor Intelligence: Maintain market intelligence and vendor performance reporting, including supplier scorecards and category analysis; and compile pricing benchmarking and consolidated spend analysis in support of supplier negotiations.
Inventory & Demand Planning: Run demand plans and benchmark them against the ERP's replenishment outputs once live, working to improve planning accuracy over time; analyse inventory positions to recommend stock levels, safety stock and reorder points, balancing service levels against working capital; and identify slow-moving, aged and obsolete inventory and support corrective action.
ERP Data Readiness: Support data readiness for the division's ERP implementation, including cleansing of inventory records ahead of go-live.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor forecast accuracy and service-level performance, reporting on deviations and their causes; and support additional projects carried out within the Divisional Purchasing department.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in supply chain, business, finance, statistics, economics or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Two to four years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, supply-chain analysis, procurement analysis or a comparable data-analytical role.
- Experience in a distribution, retail or multi-location environment is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Sound grasp of inventory and demand-planning fundamentals, with a grounding in basic statistical and forecasting methods.
- Experience with ERP or inventory-planning systems; exposure to MRP/DRP-type replenishment logic an asset.
- Advanced Excel and strong data-handling ability, including building formula-driven workbooks and consolidating data from multiple systems.
- Able to design and build reports and dashboards in business-intelligence tools (for example Power BI); ability to extract and query data from business systems (SQL or similar) a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical rigour and attention to detail; clear written and verbal communication.
- A supply chain or inventory qualification (for example APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP) an asset.
