The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. McArthur's is named after the resort's architectural inspirations serving New American cuisine with hints of the Sonoran Desert delivering a creative fusion of meticulously sourced ingredients brought from farm to table in a menu of comforting delight.
As a Food Runner, you would be responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the guest ensuring the order is correct, distributed in accordance with service standards, and communicating any needs or concerns to the appropriate team members / managers. We always strive to exceed our guest’s expectations through our food and service. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
Efficiently serve food in a friendly and courteous manner.
Maintain knowledge of all menu items including preparation.
Ensure food preparation and presentations are proper throughout the guest dining experience.
Ensure proper timing and coordination with the kitchen for timely food deliveries.
Pay attention to guest special requests, food allergy, and food modification. Pick up food products for orders placed by the service staff from the Purchasing Department (Requisition Orders).
Assist the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our guests dining experience.
Set up the front line with the equipment, plate ware, and towels needed to effectively serve all food products.
Keep station restocked and organized throughout the shift.
Read order tickets as they arrive and place them onto the ticket rail.
Track cooking times on all orders, check finished product for proper degree of doneness, appearance, and plate presentation. Inform the Chef and the manager on duty when ticket times are running long.
Assist the server as needed to optimize the guest’s dining experience by making sure the guest has everything they need.
Accomplish all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift.
Report any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the chef or other manager on duty.
This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts vary based on business needs but are typically between the hours of 7am-5pm or 5pm-12am.
The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7am-10pm Sunday-Thursday and 7am-11pm on Friday and Saturday.
