Keyera is currently seeking an NGL Specialist to join the Marketing team in its Calgary office. This role provides analytical and commercial support for Keyera's ethane and ethane-plus business by developing market analysis and identifying optimization opportunities that maximize the value of the company's natural ethane and NGL assets. The successful candidate will partner with Commercial, Operations, Scheduling, and other cross-functional teams to deliver market insights, support commercial decision-making, and drive value creation across the business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage monthly, annual and long-term ethane plus volumes and sales across Keyera’s operated and non-operated facilities.
- Engage with commercial teams to perform scenario-based analysis, assessing potential opportunities and risks that align to the business unit and corporate strategy.
- Manage inventory at various facilities upstream and downstream of assets in Western Canada.
- Analyze pricing, market trends, infrastructure constraints, and competitive dynamics to support contract negotiations and corporate initiatives.
- Collaborate with other Keyera operated and not operated facilities for nominations and forecasting.
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream facilities on planned and unplanned outages.
- Prepare various presentations and financial overviews for Senior Leadership and the business.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, business development, third parties) related to planned and unplanned outages at operated and non-operated facilities and pipelines.
- Monitor and provide business intelligence with regards to market pricing and conditions and how that impacts the marketing strategy.
- Support and participate in process and system related projects, including data testing, evaluation, process and system enhancements.
- Ad hoc analyst for the ethane and NGL business, including assisting in budget development and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) degree or related business discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ oil and gas industry experience.
- Experience in logistics, commercial operations or business development related to natural gas or natural gas liquids.
- Excellent ability to collaborate across teams to analyze and identify key drivers and deliver meaningful insight withing tight timelines.
- Upstream and/or downstream experience in the NGL infrastructure is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools including Excel, Word and Power point.
- Experience with Entero, RightAngle and other ETRM solutions.
- Well-developed communication skills with ability to work with cross functional stakeholders.
