General Responsibilities
- Adhere to Head Start Performance Standards, State Licensing Standards, and Division Policies and Procedures.
- Act as delegate for Site Supervisor when needed.
- Conduct community recruitment for the program.
- Ensure active supervision and safety of children at all times.
- Maintain and rotate classroom materials and supplies.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to develop individualized goals for children.
- Maintain comprehensive assessment portfolios for each child.
- Facilitate weekly planning meetings and implement IEP/IFSP.
- Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
- Provide social and emotional support, and implement curriculum with intentional teaching experiences.
- Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Requirements
- Associate's degree, Bachelors’ degree and a Professional Education License, or a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- 36+ college credits in early childhood education if the degree is in a related field.
- 1-8 years of experience in a childcare setting.
- At least 19 years old.
- Obtain Illinois Gateway ECE Credential Level 5 within 6 months to 1 year.
- Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Complete background clearance, physical, and TB test.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Adhere to the Agency’s Code of Ethics and conduct all responsibilities in accordance with the standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
