Job Description Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end Payroll, Time & Attendance and employee separation processes, with a strong focus on retirement and retiral benefits. The role requires sound knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, employee lifecycle transactions and HR policies. You will work closely with employees, HR partners, Finance, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and compliant service delivery.

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Roles Overview:

  • Manage and execute assigned Payroll, Time & Attendance and retirement processes with accuracy and within defined timelines.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and quality to ensure compliance with relevant legal and GE Aerospace policy requirements.
  • Resolve complex processing issues and escalations for internal and external customers while promoting “Best in Class” customer service.
  • Maintain and monitor trackers for various Payroll, Time & Attendance, employee lifecycle, retirement, statutory and benefits processes, ensuring timely updates, accurate reporting and closure within defined timelines.
  • Manage 3rd Party Payroll and Time Providers to ensure seamless, compliant, and high-quality Payroll & Time services.
  • Develop broad knowledge of Payroll , Retiral & Time processing procedures to ensure successful execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Finance functions, the broader Workforce Experience and Insight Team, and the HR Client Delivery team, to ensure open communications that support an effective partnership across our HR and business community as well as employees and People Leaders
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams and establish strong working relationships within GE Aerospace and key stakeholders in solving complex issues.
  • Be the Payroll & Time expert in system functionality, business processes, and audits
  • Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements within assigned processes, work closely with cross functional teams and increase productivity.

Should have experience in Payroll, Time & Attendance and retirement processes with accuracy and within defined timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Country Specific Requirements
  • Fluency in English knowledge both verbal and written
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area
  • Significant prior professional work experience with demonstrated achievement in Payroll, Payment and Time & attendance, and/or Operations/Service-oriented environment, ideally in a multi-national organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, rapidly changing environment across multiple stakeholder groups and countries with comfort and efficiency.

Desired Qualification:

  • Proficiency in HR, Payroll, Retiral and Benefit systems (ex. Workday) and technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll, Retiral, Payment and Time & Attendance. Strong customer service focus with high responsiveness and the ability to anticipate customer needs; solid interpersonal skills and a supportive team-player mindset.
  • Ability to quickly embrace new technologies
  • Experience establishing and maintaining customer and supplier relationships
