Description
Job Title Turnaround Static Engineer (Ammonia)
JOB PURPOSE
Support the successful planning, preparation, execution, and close-out of turnaround activities by
coordinating with the Turnaround Coordination Team, Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering,
Contractors, and Support Functions.
Ensure assigned turnaround deliverables, execution readiness activities, work packages, materials, resources,
and contractor requirements are effectively managed and completed in accordance with approved schedules,
quality standards, HSE requirements, and turnaround procedures.
Monitor turnaround progress, support risk mitigation and scope change implementation, resolve day-to-day
execution issues, and contribute to the achievement of turnaround schedule, cost, quality, and operational
readiness objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Turnaround Budget
Provide support for equipment-level cost estimates and cost allocation (OPEX/CAPEX) aligned with
Turnaround Management System (TMS) requirements and SAP work order structure for his assigned
area of responsibility
Support cost tracking, variance analysis (Budget vs Actual), and lessons learned integration for future
TAR improvements.
Turnaround Coordination
Coordinate turnaround preparation and execution activities with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection,
Engineering, Planning, Materials, and Contractors.
Support the Turnaround Coordination Team (TACT) in developing work packages, Job Safety Analyses
(JSA), method statements, and execution plans.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of turnaround schedules and readiness plans.
Coordinate execution interfaces between stakeholders to ensure smooth turnaround delivery.
Materials, Resources & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate with Planning and Materials teams to ensure availability of long-lead and short-lead materials,
tools, consumables, and equipment.
Follow up with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure resource mobilization and execution
readiness.
Monitor contractor performance and compliance with turnaround requirements
Turnaround Execution & Progress Monitoring
Monitor daily turnaround activities and progress against approved schedules.
Review daily progress reports and provide status updates on assigned activities.
Monitor critical and near-critical activities and escalate potential delays.
Participate in daily turnaround progress review meetings and support implementation of corrective
actions
Participate in turnaround risk assessments and support implementation of mitigation measures.
Support turnaround clash review activities and follow up on action items.
Assist in review and implementation of approved Turnaround Scope Change Requests (TSCRs).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support resolution of technical and execution-related issues
Compliance with company HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and quality requirements.
Participate in safety reviews and execution readiness assessments.
Support Pre-Start-Up Safety Review (PSSR) activities and closure of assigned actions
Process improvement and documentation
Maintain turnaround records, plant start-up readiness trackers, progress reports, and punch lists.
Support turnaround close-out activities and documentation.
Participate in lessons learned workshops and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Training Responsibility:
Participate in on-the-job training and coaching of trainees, newly hired personnel within the Turnaround
Team to support their development and familiarization with turnaround processes, procedures, and work
practices.
Share technical knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices gained from turnaround planning and
execution activities with team members.
Maintain awareness of turnaround management processes, company procedures, HSE requirements, and
industry best practices through continuous professional development
IT Knowledge & Skills
Participate in competency development programs and mandatory turnaround training requirements.
Assist in developing team capability through active participation in knowledge-sharing sessions,
workshops, and post-turnaround lessons learned reviews.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Working knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and SAP MM (Materials Management) modules.
Familiarity with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling and project management software
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline.
5-10 years direct and relevant experience.
