You will provide leadership across Repair Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, and Facilities, ensuring resources, processes, technical capability, material, and infrastructure are aligned to customer and business commitments.

You will partner with the General Manager and cross-functional leaders to convert backlog into on-time shipments and revenue while improving quality, turnaround time, productivity, and cost. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, Aviation Maintenance, or a related discipline required, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant aerospace operations experience.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or technical master’s) and Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous-improvement certification are preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certificate is preferred but not required unless assigned duties specifically require it.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible aerospace, aviation maintenance, MRO, or highly regulated manufacturing/repair operations experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an FAA-regulated repair or maintenance environment; working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 and a Quality Management System, such as AS9110, is required.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple functional disciplines and managers, including repair operations and technical/engineering teams
  • Experience with warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, and facilities functions is strongly desired.
  • Proven record of improving on-time delivery, turnaround time, throughput, productivity, cost, quality, and backlog/revenue conversion in a complex, low-volume/high-mix aerospace environment.
  • Hands-on ERP/MRP experience is required; experience with Infor Syteline/CloudSuite Industrial is desired, including disciplined management of work orders, routings, material, inventory, capacity, and operational data.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, labor/capacity plans, capital requirements, inventory/working capital, forecast performance, and operating metrics; prior P&L responsibility is desired.
  • Demonstrated success using Lean, structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, visual management, and daily management systems to remove constraints and sustain improvements.
  • Executive-level communication and change-leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, regulatory agencies, auditors, senior leadership, and cross-site/cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

As a Director of Operations, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of the MRO operation, including repair, test, engineering support, warehouse (receiving/shipping/inventory activities), and facilities; establish priorities and ensure safe, compliant, high-quality work is completed to customer commitments.
  • Own operating performance for throughput, turnaround time, on-time delivery, backlog conversion, productivity, labor utilization, cost, inventory accuracy, working capital, and revenue execution; develop recovery plans when performance is off target.
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability to the Operations Managers, Engineering Manager, Warehouse leadership, and Facilities leadership; build succession, technical capability, standard work, and a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with the repair station quality system and applicable FAA 14 CFR Part 145 requirements, AS9110 processes, approved technical data, customer requirements, EHS expectations, and internal procedures; partner closely with Quality and the Accountable Repair Station Manager.
  • Drive disciplined use of Syteline ERP and associated operating dashboards to maintain accurate WIP, material, routing, inventory, labor, shipment, and capacity information; establish daily/weekly management routines that identify constraints and assign clear owners and recovery dates.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality, Finance, Sales/Business Units Leadership, and other sites to resolve material shortages, customer approvals, technical issues, capacity constraints, and other blockers that threaten delivery, revenue, or customer satisfaction.
  • Lead continuous improvement across shop flow, clear-to-build management, receiving/induction, inventory and cycle count, repair/test processes, engineering responsiveness, facilities reliability, and shipment execution using data-driven problem solving and Lean/CI methods.
  • Own operational readiness for new capability, product/license transitions, equipment and facility investments, business continuity, and capacity expansion; develop budgets and capital/resource plans that support growth, compliance, and long-term competitiveness.
