Transportation Operations Leaders are vital to the success of our business at P&G. From Day 1, you will be accountable for being responsible for your own projects, working with teams to generate new ideas and implementing changes; as well as being accountable for results.
Important Responsibilities as the Transportation Operations Leader:
- Implement and manage Carrier Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and reduce freight auction costs.
- Maintain ownership of lane sourcing, including new requests and volume adjustments, and support supplier selection during sourcing events.
- Lead and facilitate commercial bids and participate in lane change management.
- Lead continuous improvement projects by leveraging digital reporting, automation, & work process improvements.
- Ensure effective communication with manufacturing, fulfillment centers, carrier partners, and internal North American Transportation Operations teams.
- Support transportation management tools and systems for control, reporting, and gap analysis to achieve cost and service improvements.
- Manage accessorial charges, exceptions, and carrier compliance, ensuring payment and adherence to P&G standards.
- Drive sustainability efforts, particularly related to intermodal modality.
- Deliver annual savings targets and manage projects in digital/automation, supply network design, and sustainability.
- Conduct monthly business reviews with leadership and manage master data for shipping conditions and service codes.
- Participate in weekly reviews with sites and partners to maintain on-time performance and compliance.
Job Qualifications
- Have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Operations Management, Other Business Administrative or Engineering Degree or (other related degree and/or work-related experience).
- 0-3 Years of experience.
- Ability to navigate Tableau Dashboards and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to develop technical skills with Transportation Management System, SAP, Rate Manager, Lane Change Management, Tariff, etc.
- Use of PowerBI, Tableau, Knime, Python, SQL, RuleX may be required for the job (training will be provided)
- Ability to drive cost savings projects through the use of loss elimination tools.
- Ability to lead, influence and work effectively with all levels across multiple organizations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
- Strategic thinking skills and the ability to build plans that deliver both short-term and long-term needs of the business
