ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Join our Payroll team and help ensure accurate, timely compensation for Court employees. As a Payroll Technician II, you’ll handle detailed payroll processes, verify employee time and pay data, and support staff with payroll-related questions. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with numbers, values precision, and interested in supporting reliable payroll operations across the Court.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY

This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.


SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements at final filing date of this bulletin:

Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent -AND- two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in performing timekeeping and payroll duties and functions.

Note: Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro rate basis (e.g. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience processing transactions in an electronic personnel or payroll system.
  • Experience verifying and tracking leave benefits in a payroll system.
  • Experience processing, reviewing, correcting, and posting time records.
  • Experience providing guidance to management and/or staff on payroll matters.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants who successfully pass each and all recruitment steps will be placed on an eligible list which will remain active for approximately one (1) year and may be invited to participate in a selection interview.
