About the Role
The Principal Consultant directs and guides customers and project teams through strategic engagements from pre-sales through the full project life cycle, ensuring that vision and business objectives are successfully accomplished. Applying deep industry, solution, technical, and functional knowledge to complex delivery projects, this role serves as a trusted advisor and thought leader — driving consulting excellence, implementation best practices, and long-term customer success.
Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do
- Apply deep industry, solution, and functional knowledge to lead complex delivery projects, providing customers with consulting expertise and best practice recommendations from discovery through post-go-live optimization.
- Advise implementation teams through the successful discovery, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of complex and advanced Hyland software solutions and related technologies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader within the domain area — both internally and externally — driving product solution deployment, industry best practices, and future engagement opportunities.
- Lead project management responsibilities as needed, serving as the primary point of contact for customer engagements, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and coordinating scheduling and team mobilization.
- Conduct discoveries for key accounts and solutions, documenting requirements that lead to anticipated business value and guiding customers through industry best practices for business requirements and success criteria.
- Contribute to business development activities including sales-to-service handoffs and scoping while mentoring and developing team members to drive overall team quality and growth.
Role Essentials
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience in consulting and delivering complex software solutions
- Advanced consulting skills including client management, communication, and stakeholder engagement at the senior executive level
- Excellent business acumen with the ability to translate complex business challenges into clear technical requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and provide exceptional follow-through in a customer-service-driven environment

- Experience creating and delivering internal training courses on technical and business concepts
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus across teams
