Fieldforce Team Leader

Location: Benin
Employment Type: Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Fieldforce Team Leader to lead, coach, and develop a team of Hybrid Medical Representatives in Benin. This role is responsible for driving team performance, ensuring execution excellence, and supporting commercial growth through effective leadership, customer engagement, and fieldforce management.

The successful candidate will dedicate the majority of their time to people leadership, coaching, field support, and performance management while maintaining a limited customer portfolio and supporting key customer-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Hybrid Medical Representatives.
  • Conduct regular field visits and coaching sessions to strengthen team capability and performance.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, collaboration, and execution excellence.
  • Support ongoing talent development and employee engagement initiatives.

Field Execution

  • Ensure the effective execution of detailing, merchandising, order-taking, and pharmacy activation programs.
  • Monitor territory coverage and customer engagement activities.
  • Support product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Drive adherence to fieldforce standards and best practices.

Commercial Performance

  • Drive achievement of team sales targets and business objectives.
  • Review performance metrics and implement corrective action plans where required.
  • Monitor productivity, efficiency, and overall fieldforce effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer reach and commercial outcomes.

Customer Engagement

  • Manage relationships with selected healthcare professionals and pharmacy customers.
  • Support key customer interactions and engagement initiatives.
  • Facilitate local educational programs and activation activities.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to support business growth.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting by all team members.
  • Monitor CRM compliance and maintain high standards of data quality.
  • Identify and escalate commercial risks and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer healthcare, or FMCG sector.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales and field-based teams.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare professional engagement and customer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team performance and commercial results.
