Description
Experience Aviva
Together, we are Aviva. Our values — Care, Commitment, Community, and Confidence — guide how we show up for each other and for our customers. Individually, they’re words. Together, they define who we are.
At Aviva Canada, we put people first, our employees, our customers, and our communities. We’re proud of a culture built on care, inclusion, and collaboration, where your voice matters and your growth is supported. We’re not just about insurance; we’re about making a real difference by protecting what matters most.
The Opportunity
Most corporate Product Manager roles are about coordination. This one is about building.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and transform Aviva’s AEM website ecosystem — including aviva.ca and Aviva Partner (our portal for brokers).
If you want a role where you can build, ship, and materially change a core digital channel, this is it.
If you’re looking to manage a backlog, it’s not.
What makes this role different:
You’re not here to manage a backlog - you’re here to ship and create momentum
You’ll be expected to build independently using AEM and AI, not just define requirements
You’ll own a platform in Aviva Partner that already has scale, but hasn’t yet reached its potential
You’ll work directly with a vendor engineering model, not a fully embedded dev squad
What you'll do:
Build (this is the core expectation)
You will:
Ship work yourself using AEM, AI tools, and existing platforms
Move ideas from concept → live without waiting for perfect resourcing
Prototype, test, and launch improvements quickly
Examples of how we expect you to work:
Use GenAI to draft, test, and iterate content and experiences
Use AEM directly to create and launch pages, components, and experiments
Use analytics + AI-assisted analysis to identify drop-offs and opportunities, then fix them
Rapidly stand-up tests (copy, layout, journeys) without needing full engineering cycles
If your instinct is to open Jira first, you’ll struggle here.
Own Aviva Partner & Aviva.ca
Define the product strategy and roadmap for Aviva Partner & Aviva.ca
Turn Partner into a high-value broker experience, not just a content portal
Drive measurable improvements in engagement, adoption, and sales impact across both websites
Lead delivery
Work directly with our engineering vendor for more complex builds
Be comfortable driving outcomes without a traditional dev team structure
Balance key stakeholder demand (marketing, business units) with product-driven improvements
Raise the bar on how we work
Simplify how work gets done - cut process where it slows delivery
Introduce better ways of working using AI and automation
Create a culture of shipping, learning, and iterating quickly
What you'll bring:
You are a builder
You’ve shipped things yourself
You’re comfortable getting hands-on with tools and platforms
You are AI-native
You actively use AI tools to accelerate your work
You think about how AI reduces dependency and speeds up delivery
You have strong product judgment
You know what matters and what doesn’t
You prioritise impact over completeness
You can operate in ambiguity and still deliver
You don’t need perfect structure to get started
You create clarity through action
You’re comfortable working with a vendor delivery model
You can drive outcomes without owning every resource directly
What makes you stand out:
Experience with AEM / Adobe Experience Cloud
Experience improving content-heavy or marketing-driven websites
Experience with personalization, experimentation, or analytics-led optimization
What success looks like (12–18 months):
Aviva Partner becomes a material growth and engagement channel
The website evolves continuously—not in slow, batch releases
A meaningful portion of improvements are shipped without engineering dependency
The team operates faster because of AI-enabled workflows you introduce
What you’ll get:
