Job Description:

The Senior Data Architect is a senior individual contributor within the Data Quality & Control Governance senior leadership team. This role influences and stewards enterprise data and AI architecture within LOB owned data domains —ensuring application, data, infrastructure, and AI/ML architectures are integrated, governed, and aligned to business and regulatory objectives.

While not a people-manager, the role carries senior-leadership expectations for strategic influence and cross-organizational alignment, partnering with Global Technology / CIO organizations and serving five lines of business and control functions.

  • Influence adoption of enterprise architecture across application, data, infrastructure, and AI/ML domains, ensuring integration with business architectures and data governance.
  • Influence adoption of standards, patterns, and reference models for modern data platforms (cloud, hybrid, streaming, analytics).
  • Embed data quality, lineage, metadata, and control evidence into architecture, aligned to enterprise governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Align architecture strategy across five lines of business and partner with the corresponding CIO / Global Technology leaders.
  • Provide thought leadership and influence across a complex, matrixed organization—driving direction and consensus without direct authority.
  • Deliver executive briefings and roadmaps, and provide input on enterprise policy, standards, and technology adoption.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in enterprise data or systems architecture across data, application, and infrastructure domains.
  • Expertise in modern data platforms and AI/ML architecture, including responsible-AI considerations.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and control frameworks in a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate technical strategy in executive-ready terms.
