Description

The Asphalt Plant Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Asphalt Plant team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, assisting with daily plant activitie,and communicating with field personnel, drivers, vendors, customers, and management to help ensure efficient plant operations.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative support for Asphalt Plant operations and management.
  • Maintain accurate plant records, reports, tickets, and other operational documentation.
  • Enter and update production, material, trucking, and job-related information in company systems.
  • Review paperwork for accuracy and follow up on missing or incomplete information.
  • Assist with asphalt load tickets, delivery records, and material documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate with plant personnel, truck drivers, field crews, customers, and vendors regarding daily operations.
  • Assist with scheduling, deliveries, trucking coordination, and other plant activities.
  • Track and organize purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and other plant-related documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist management with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to Asphalt Plant operations.
  • Monitor office and plant administrative supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Support timekeeping, employee paperwork, and other personnel-related administrative tasks when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, and customer information.
  • Follow company safety policies and comply with applicable plant and jobsite requirements.
  • Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous administrative experience preferred; construction, asphalt, aggregate, or heavy-highway industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to accurately enter, maintain, and verify records and reports.
  • Ability to work effectively with plant personnel, drivers, field employees, customers, vendors, and management.
