As an Assistant Director of Nursing, a caregiver in this role will assist in directing clinical operations and patient care across multiple Cleveland Clinic AtWork ambulatory care areas. The caregiver will oversee daily operations in collaboration with nurse managers and assistant nurse managers while partnering with clinical program leaders to implement workflows, service expectations and performance metrics. This role will collaborate with Occupational Health to optimize resources and support department business goals while ensuring nursing and clinical practice align with the philosophy, standards and mission of the Nursing Institute.

A caregiver in this position will work 7:30am to 4:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Supervises and evaluates nurse managers, assistant nurse managers, educators, clinical specialists, and others across multiple Cleveland Clinic AtWork ambulatory care locations.
• Assists in the development, implementation, and oversight of policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and evidence-based delivery of Occupational Health/Cleveland Clinic AtWork services. Ensures communication, cooperation and understanding among team and monitors adherence to Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with APRN/PA Director and Senior Clinical Director, Occupational Health regarding budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity and staff development.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of care and initiate quality improvement actions as needed.
• Monitors overall staffing patterns, workflow, and productivity to ensure operational and quality metrics are met, and clinical teams are working to the top of license.
• Implements development programs and provides leadership, guidance, mentoring and formal and informal coaching as needed.
• Works with Clinical Program Leads in aligning service delivery to achieve program goals and objectives.
• Responsible for organizational communications including special programs and Occupational Health/Cleveland Clinic AtWork regulations and practices.
• Prepares and leads daily huddles, conduct, and team meetings.
• Collaborates with liaison departments and participates in hospital committees as appropriate.
• Oversees the annual flu vaccine campaign for the enterprise.
• Leads assigned clinical programs by applying evidenced based practices, research, and regulations as appropriate. Establishes program goals, conducts reviews and monitors metrics. Creates communication plans for key stakeholders. Conducts training and leads through change. Updates program policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum of four years of recent nursing clinical experience to include at least one year of healthcare management experience required

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Master's Degree
• 5+ years of ambulatory experience and 3–4 years of leadership experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to walk to various locations throughout the enterprise, normal or corrected vision and hearing, and the ability to work and function in a stressful environment.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to ten pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are more than those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
