Laboratory Technician

Overview:
ASR International Corp is seeking a contractor Laboratory Technician role.  Job requirements will include performing laboratory testing, inspections, and evaluations according to established procedures and specifications.

Location:  Sugar Land, TX 77478
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM in a lab environment, standard 40-hour schedule, no routine overtime expected. 
Contract Duration:  up to 12 months, possibility of extension

Typical Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing, inspections, and evaluations according to established procedures and specifications.
• Prepare, label, maintain, and track samples for testing and analysis.
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Support quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Assist engineers and technical personnel with product development and validation testing.
• Maintain laboratory records, documentation, and testing logs.
• Follow all Baker Hughes safety policies and laboratory procedures.
• Support investigations related to product quality, test failures, or manufacturing issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 
• Associate degree in Chemistry, Engineering Technology, Applied Science, or related field preferred.
• Laboratory, quality, manufacturing, or technical experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Be results driven with a keen eye for detail and being detail oriented.
• Showing up consistently and on time.
• Completing tasks accurately with minimal supervision.
• Following through on assigned responsibilities.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
