Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Walmart US Health & Wellness Controllership, provides strategic leadership with financial reporting, internal controls, and risk mitigation to support business objectives and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role involves analyzing financial data, managing internal controls, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support sound financial decision-making. The position also drives business initiatives, fosters team development, and promotes adherence to company policies and ethical standards. The Senior Manager plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining integrity and accountability across financial operations.


About the team:

The Walmart Health & Wellness Controllership team supports over 4,000 retail pharmacy locations and 3,000 vision centers across Walmart US. This team partners with business units to analyze financial data, address challenges, and ensure adherence to accounting standards. Focused on continuous improvement and innovation, members apply expertise in accounting principles, risk management, and financial reporting. Their efforts contribute to operational excellence and the overall success of the Health & Wellness business by delivering valuable insights and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you'll do...

  • Oversee financial reporting including the balance sheet ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements through thorough review and evaluation of financial statements.
  • Drive execution of business initiatives by identifying needs, removing obstacles, and measuring performance to achieve objectives.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders on projects to support business goals.

What you'll bring...
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong expertise in internal controls, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Skilled in business relationship management and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise with data analysis to support strategic business initiatives and continue process improvements.
  • Effective project management skills to drive business plans and operational improvements.
  • Experience in financial close processes and financial reporting within a complex business environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related area. 1 year’s supervisory experience.
