Credentialing Specialist, Marshall Medical Centers South, Full Time, 1st Shift

Overview

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for all credentialing functions and provider enrollment of the Medical Staff and other practitioners as directed.  

 

Credentialing Specialists function under the general supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services

Skills performed (but not limited to):

• Follow all Credentialing Procedures
• Obtaining primary source verification of license, education, training, affiliations and other verifications as indicated
• Maintain physician, CRNP and PA credentialing files
• Maintain credentialing software, CPSI physician database and other physician databases maintained by the Medical Staff Services Department
• Provide direction to Medical Staff Secretary and other staff members for all credentialing and recredentialing questions that may arise.
• New provider orientation
• Assist with Provider Enrollment for all practitioners as directed
• Provide credentialing information to Medical Staff Services Director
• Meeting scheduling, preparation and follow up as directed. 
• Student observer and precepting student processing 
• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

                High School Graduate

 

Excellent typing/data entry skills required Computer skills:  Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.

Symplr credentialing software (preferred)

Physician Table CPSI (preferred)
