Description

Overview

PepsiCo is seeking a Director, Digital Twin Strategy and Technical Product Delivery to organize and drive the end-to-end delivery of PepsiCo's Digital Twin program across platform enablement and domain digital twin products in manufacturing and warehousing. This role ensures Digital Twin delivery operates as a cohesive, scalable product portfolio — enabling rapid expansion from initial deployments to repeatable, enterprise-grade rollouts that improve decision quality, operational performance, and time-to-value across the supply chain.

This leader owns the integrated delivery system connecting the Digital Twin platform roadmap with domain product roadmaps and site deployments, sequencing workstreams such as site onboarding, environment provisioning, data/event integration readiness, model and scenario execution enablement, visualization/experience delivery, and operationalization so that manufacturing and warehousing twin deployments scale with consistency, reliability, and reuse. The role builds and continuously improves the program's delivery operating model — the cadence, governance, dependency management, escalation pathways, and release readiness gates required for predictable execution — and provides day-to-day execution leadership for the Technical Product Delivery Managers and Project Managers aligned to manufacturing and warehousing product lines.

The Director partners closely with the Digital Twin platform and domain product leaders (manufacturing, warehousing), plant and warehouse transformation leaders, and IT/OT, Data & AI, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and strategic partners/vendors (e.g., Siemens, Nvidia, Kinetic Vision, Sight Machine, Cognizant/HCL) to deliver a scalable, repeatable Digital Twin delivery capability that accelerates adoption, increases reuse, strengthens operational reliability, and reinforces Digital Twin as a durable enterprise capability.

Responsibilities

Digital Twin Delivery Strategy & Portfolio Management:

  • Own the end-to-end integrated portfolio delivery plan across the Digital Twin platform, manufacturing twins, and warehousing twins, including roadmap-to-release translation, sequencing, capacity alignment, and milestone governance to ensure synchronized delivery across all workstreams.
  • Enable productization through repeatable module and pattern development — capturing learnings from deployments, identifying recurring needs, and converting them into reusable capabilities that reduce one-off engineering and future rollout cycle time.

Delivery Operating Model & Governance:

  • Establish and run the program delivery operating model — defining delivery cadence, standard artifacts, governance routines, release integration points, and escalation pathways to ensure predictable execution and fast decision-making.
  • Establish release readiness and quality gates across the portfolio, ensuring deployments meet defined criteria for reliability, security, performance, supportability, and operational adoption before go-live.

Partner & Vendor Delivery Coordination:

  • Coordinate delivery alignment across internal teams and strategic partners, ensuring integrated milestones, shared dependencies, and delivery commitments are maintained across a multi-provider ecosystem and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of delivery performance using metrics, retrospectives, and operational feedback loops to reduce cycle time, increase reliability, improve adoption readiness, and strengthen the overall delivery system.

Site Wave Planning & Scaled Execution:

  • Drive site wave planning and execution at scale, including site readiness assessments, onboarding prerequisites, standardized deployment playbooks, cutover/hypercare models, and repeatable rollout patterns that reduce cycle time and increase consistency across deployments.

Cross-Workstream Dependency & Risk Management:

  • Lead cross-workstream dependency and constraint management — integrating platform readiness, data and integration prerequisites, infrastructure/edge enablement, cybersecurity gating, simulation/model readiness, vendor deliverables, and operational adoption plans into a single critical path view.

TPM Leadership & Execution Oversight:

  • Direct day-to-day delivery execution for Technical Product Delivery Managers and Project Managers aligned to manufacturing and warehousing — setting integrated priorities, delivery standards, and commitments; ensuring consistent execution discipline; and driving corrective actions when delivery health deviates.

Value Tracking & Executive Reporting:

  • Own program-level value tracking and outcome-based reporting — defining and publishing KPIs for delivery predictability, deployment throughput, reuse, adoption, and benefits realization, and providing executive transparency into progress, risks, and required decisions.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $132,200 - $262,400.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
  • Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
  • In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Data/Analytics, or related).

Experience

  • 10+ years leading complex technical delivery across multi-team programs and/or product portfolios in global, matrixed enterprises.
  • Demonstrated success building repeatable delivery mechanisms — cadence, release management, readiness gates, deployment playbooks — that enable scale.
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional, matrixed delivery efforts with high operational impact and executive visibility.
  • Program/project management credential (e.g., PMP) and formal training in Lean/Six Sigma or comparable continuous-improvement methodology strongly preferred.
  • Experience delivering in industrial, supply chain, manufacturing, or warehousing environments preferred (site constraints, operational change, reliability requirements).

Commercial / Partner Leadership

  • Experience coordinating delivery outcomes across vendors and integrators, managing milestone alignment, contract/SOW governance, and driving resolution of delivery risks and issues in partnership with procurement/legal and product leaders.

Technical/Domain Expertise

  • Strong working knowledge of platform and product delivery dependencies: data integration, APIs/connectors, environment provisioning, observability, release readiness, and operational handoffs.
  • Familiarity with industrial data and operational systems (e.g., MES, WMS, ERP, OT/edge telemetry) and the delivery realities they impose.
  • Comfort coordinating deliveries involving simulation/model workflows and visualization/experience layers, without needing to be the architect of record.
  • Understanding of secure delivery practices in partnership with cybersecurity, including gating, controls, and supportability expectations.

Leadership Competencies

  • Strategic execution leadership: connects long-term product intent to near-term delivery commitments, making
  • practical tradeoffs that maximize enterprise value and scalability.
  • Operating model builder: establishes repeatable delivery mechanisms, enforces standards, and evolves the delivery system through metrics-driven continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional influence: aligns stakeholders across technology, operations, data, infrastructure, and security without direct authority; drives decisions and removes blockers quickly.
  • Systems thinking: sees end-to-end dependencies and critical paths across platform, domain products, vendors, and site readiness; anticipates constraints and mitigates proactively.
  • Operational rigor: drives predictable delivery, release readiness discipline, and high-quality operationalization; balances speed with reliability and supportability.
  • Change leadership: helps teams shift from ad-hoc delivery to consistent, scalable product delivery practices, reinforcing reuse and standardization while enabling site adoption.
  • Executive communication: communicates complex delivery realities in clear, decision-oriented narratives; maintains transparency on tradeoffs, risks, and outcomes.

Success Metrics

  • Digital Twin platform and domain products (manufacturing, warehousing) deployed at scale across prioritized sites through synchronized, repeatable delivery waves.
  • Delivery predictability and throughput improve measurably, with reduced time-to-deploy per site through reuse, standardization, and platform alignment.
  • Release readiness and quality gates consistently met, with high sustained operational adoption rather than “pilot only” outcomes.
  • Clear, KPI-based executive reporting on delivery health, reuse, adoption, and benefits realization across the Digital Twin portfolio.
