Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Documentation in La Crescenta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned school district areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and use teamwork and integrity to deliver reliable service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school-site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures during school operations and events.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with school personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
