Role Description:
The Sustainability Analyst is an integral member of a highly collaborative, fast-paced team, working towards QuadReal’s mandate to be a global sustainability leader. This position will support QuadReal’s sustainability strategy in its key areas: environment, places and leading with integrity.
The Sustainability Analyst will be focused on using sustainability performance data and analytics to help build an organized structure that supports QuadReal’s GHG emissions reporting and insights. This individual will have a passion for climate change mitigation and resilience, and a strong desire to support QuadReal on its sustainability and decarbonization journey across geographies. The role will encompass a wide range of crucial tasks so the ability to prioritize, pivot and adapt is key.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze QuadReal’s cloud-based energy software to find opportunities for improvement and produce reports that highlight where additional focus is needed
Actively support net zero carbon transition planning and tracking
Support with annual reporting of utilities and GHGs for GRESB, TCFD, SASB
Conduct prompt and timely property-level physical climate resilience assessments
Facilitate training sessions with property teams on the energy/sustainability management systems and other topics as needed
Contribute to the development of sustainability and climate-related policies, internal procedures, and integration frameworks
Provide overall support for other ad-hoc projects that are identified throughout the year
Experience and Qualifications:
2-4 years of relevant experience in sustainability, climate or related fields, along with working knowledge of utility data (energy, water, waste, GHGs).
Experience managing data and processes in an EMS (Energy Management System) is an asset
A self-starter with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders (internally and externally) at all levels
Strong quantitative and analytical skillset, including experience with data analysis and structuring scalable processes
Strong capacity to identify gaps and solutions and to meet expectations across multiple stakeholders
A results-oriented and goal-driven mindset, with a commitment to achieving quantifiable outcomes
Undergraduate degree in a related discipline, such as environmental management, science, or engineering. Specialized coursework in statistics and science is preferred
Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, databases and putting together PowerPoint decks
Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships and adapt to different communication styles across all teams
Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Bilingualism is considered an asset

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $70,000 – $77,000.
Based on the position, QuadReal offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to the base pay, which may include a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, pension plan, and paid time off.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
