Job Title:
Product Stewardship Associate IISummary:
This position is responsible to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Product Stewardship business processes through automation, digitization, and standardization. This position will work closely with other Product Stewardship teams and business functions to develop, implement, and assess Product Stewardship business process improvements required to achieve operational excellence and support business growth. This role will drive and support the management of customer communications, data governance, and training improvement projects, to include project tracking and reporting. This role will lead the development and analysis of metrics to assess product stewardship business process effectiveness and opportunities for future business process improvements. This role will also support efforts for development of standards, operating procedures, and work instructions related to product stewardship business processes and support training on these processes.Responsibilities Include:
Responsibility / Project Management
- Responsible to coordinate and actively participate in defined areas within projects.
- Conduct data management tasks within a defined scope to support regulatory activities and required to assess the impact to downstream use of the data.
- Responsible for responding to routine customer inquiries on defined topics and point of contact for customer questionnaires.
Execution
- Execute tasks independently within defined scope of individual or multiple projects. Carefully follows all steps and procedures to accomplish the assigned task.
- Ensure accurate, consistent and on-time standard responses to internal and external customers.
- Actively prioritizes workload to achieve highest efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication
- Ensure information shared within team and external parties is clear and actionable.
- Initiate sharing of information and learnings on various platforms.
- Support internal PS Team, other Momentive business functions, and external parties to support regulatory needs and activities
Regulatory Skills
- Responsible for providing information on multiple areas of regulatory principles and compliance practices.
- Fully aware and able to apply data protection principles with respect to regulatory tasks.
Technical Skills
- Leverage internal resources and databases to obtain required technical information.
- Identify potential new customer response categories requiring template generation.
Process Skills
- Identify and execute tasks for defined process improvement projects.
- Provide input for potential process improvement projects and testing solutions.
Knowledge
- Leverage basic knowledge of silicone chemistry as well as industry practices, techniques, and standards.
- Work independently with SAP EHS Module and or any other relevant business tools.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Public Health or equivalent
- Minimum relevant experience (in chemical product safety/risk management, product stewardship, regulatory compliance, and/or other applicable discipline) depends on region:
- Minimum 4 to 6 years, relevant experience in the chemical or related industry in the area of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance/ Environmental Health and Safety/Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene or other applicable experience
- Business Acumen, ability to inform business and influence decision making.
- Basic chemistry skills related to product chemistry.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and proactively establish connections.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work, lead, and manage across functions in a global organization with matrix reporting structure.
- Strong working knowledge of product regulatory legislation and regulation in the regions/countries within job scope.
- Flexibility to focus on chemistry-related topics, customer support and fulfilling legal requirements.
- Proven organizational and project management skills. Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Computer literate in standard office systems.
- Available for early morning or late evening global calls as needed
- Able to travel, including internationally, as needed and work in a chemical plant environment.
- Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Silicones industry and/or with highly regulated end use markets in which Momentive operates (personal care, agriculture, healthcare, food contact, etc.)
- Experience working directly with internal and external customers, understanding, and showing a high level of commitment and response to their needs.
- Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt
- SAP EHS experience.
- Project Management skills.
- Product Line Knowledge
