Responsibilities:
This role involves assisting in the operation and maintenance of drones used for mechanical silviculture operations within forest plantations, specifically focusing on the F. Plantation area. The Co-Pilot Drone will support the lead pilot in ensuring safe and efficient drone deployment for various forestry tasks.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist the lead pilot in pre-flight checks, flight planning, and mission execution for drone operations in forest plantations.
* Monitor drone systems and data during flight, reporting any anomalies or issues to the lead pilot.
* Assist with the maintenance and calibration of drone hardware, including propellers, batteries, and sensors.
* Support data collection and initial processing of aerial imagery and other drone-derived information.
* Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for drone operations.
* Assist in the transportation, deployment, and retrieval of drones and associated equipment.
* Perform routine troubleshooting and minor repairs on drone components as directed.
* Contribute to the documentation of flight logs, maintenance records, and operational reports.
* Participate in training and development programs to enhance drone operation skills and knowledge.
* Collaborate effectively with ground teams and other personnel involved in silviculture operations.
Job Qualifications:**
* A technical diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., geomathics, engineering, forestry) is a plus.
* Proven experience in operating or assisting with drone operations, preferably in an outdoor or industrial setting.
* Basic understanding of drone technology, flight principles, and navigation systems.
* Familiarity with mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions precisely.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
* Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain, including lifting and carrying equipment.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and operational procedures.
* Valid driver's license preferred.
* Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
