The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Logistics Sourcing Specialist (Trade Compliance), you will lead all global sourcing activities partnering with 3M’s global Trade Compliance organization. This role will lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier negotiations and management activities related to external Trade Compliance service providers. This includes providers supporting export controls, sanctions screening, customs brokerage, trade data, audits, and related compliance services.
You will have a global scope and will partner closely with Trade Compliance, Legal, Logistics, and Regional Supply Chain teams to ensure Trade Compliance service providers are selected, contracted, and managed in a consistent, compliant, and cost‑effective manner worldwide.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading global sourcing initiatives and RFPs for Trade Compliance service providers, including onboarding, contracting, renewals, and performance management
Partnering with Trade Compliance and Legal to ensure supplier capabilities align with regulatory and compliance requirements
Negotiating commercial terms and contracts in alignment with corporate sourcing and compliance policies
Supporting supplier risk management, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Analyzing market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to identify optimization opportunities
Coordinating across regions to standardize sourcing approaches while accommodating local regulatory requirements
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum):
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or procurement, with demonstrated exposure to Trade Compliance–related services or regulated suppliers
Working knowledge of Trade Compliance concepts, including export controls, sanctions, customs, or trade data
Fluency in English (Spanish strongly preferred)

Experience sourcing or managing professional services or compliance‑related vendors
Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills
Ability to work effectively across global, cross‑functional teams
Strong analytical, program management, and problem‑solving capabilities
Experience supporting global or regional sourcing strategies
