Descripción del puesto
- Support the HSE Manager in leading and coordinating HSE activities across major industrial construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure effective implementation of HSE standards, procedures, and legal requirements throughout the project.
- Oversee HSE activities related to pre-commissioning, testing, energization, start-up, and handover.
- Coordinate with EPC teams, subcontractors, commissioning teams, the client, and other project stakeholders to ensure HSE compliance.
- Conduct and supervise HSE inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring activities.
- Support emergency response, incident investigation, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action management.
- Monitor and control high-risk activities, including SIMOPS, LOTO, lifting operations, work at height, confined spaces, and electrical safety.
- Support the HSE Manager in maintaining a strong safety culture and continuously improving HSE performance across the project.
Requisitos del candidato
- Experience: More than 10 years of HSE experience in major industrial construction and commissioning projects, preferably in desalination or water treatment plants.
- Education: Degree in HSE, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. NEBOSH/IOSH certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HIRAC, RAMS, PTW, SIMOPS, LOTO, lifting operations, work at height, confined spaces, electrical safety, and energization activities.
- Contractor Management: Strong experience in subcontractor supervision, HSE inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Languages: Fluent in English and French. Arabic is an advantage.
- Personal Skills: Proactive, organized, decisive, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure in a complex industrial environment.
