Benchmark Community Bank is seeking to hire an outgoing and service-oriented Teller for our South Hil team. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A TELLER

As a Teller, you cheerfully greet customers as they walk through our doors of the South Hill branch. You are the first point of contact and the first impression when a customer enters the branch. Because of your friendly and service-oriented personality, building relationships with our customers comes naturally.

You stay busy efficiently processing routine financial transactions for our customers such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments. You also have opportunities to utilize your product knowledge by recommending financial products and services to meet the current and future financial needs of our customers. During your workday, you maintain a cash drawer with all the proper controls, receipts, security, proofs, etc., ensuring it balances at the end of each day. Being detail oriented and accurate is an extremely important skill since you will spend the majority of your day counting cash, entering information into a computer, complying with check-cashing guidelines and looking for fraudulent activity. You enjoy being part of a fun and supportive team, but most of all you love helping our customers and go home at the end of the day feeling great about the service you've provided them!

QUALIFICATIONS

* 1-2 years of previous banking experience, preferred
* Excellent relationship building skills
* Experience working with the public and handling money
* Basic math and computer skills

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position. The scheduled hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Fridays 8:30-5:30 and alternating Saturday hours (8:30-12:00). You will still have your Saturday afternoons, evenings, and every Sunday free!

Salary Range: $17.00/hr. - $22.60/hr.
