Job Description
This role entails assisting the EHS manager as well as providing support to the maintenance department.
Receiving Clerk:
Manages incoming deliveries by verifying and signing for shipments, at times to include unloading and storing/stocking the received items.
To be successful as a receiving clerk you will be required to:
- Compare purchase orders & packing list(s) verifying accuracy
- Inspect material deliveries to ensure order & invoice matching
- Inspect deliveries for any quality issues or damage
- After verifying order criteria are met sign for deliveries
- Organize & place into storage or deliver received materials as appropriate
- After delivery, update inventory
- Maintain records of orders, deliveries, etc.
- Communicate with materials manager when a delivery has a discrepancy
- Assist the corporate accounts payable team with resolving any receiving or invoice discrepancies
- Collect all packing slips for turn into materials manager daily
- Redirect delivery trucks to the appropriate delivery location
Additional Duties:
- Audit receiving areas
- As appropriate work with cycle count team to help maintain accurate inventory
- Maintain the Central Receiving packing slip mailbox
- Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager
Parts Inventory Management:
- Maintain parts inventory as directed by supervisor
- Maintain a list of parts and supplies that have been issued so the buyer can reorder
Skills required:
- Have the physical ability to lift and move heavy items
- Physical dexterity & ability to use a pallet jack
- Good communications skills
- Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and ERP software programs. Basic knowledge of Excel.
- Basic math skills.
