Summary

The Commercial Director is responsible for leading and driving sustainable business growth across Southeast Europe and Türkiye by setting strategic direction, maximizing commercial performance, and ensuring operational excellence. This role oversees key customer relationships, strengthens partnerships, and ensures alignment with global and regional strategies while adapting to local market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Short- and long-term strategy for the Cluster (setting & execution)
- Full P&L responsibility for the Cluster
- Manage the activities in assigned area to achieve divisional financial objectives. Responsible for direct management of assigned area personnel and other resources assigned to the sales area.
- Define, evaluate and meet customer requirements.
- Participate in the hiring, development of employees, coaching and feedback, assessing the effectiveness of the staff, and determining appropriate staff and resources to support the long and short term goals of the assigned area.
- Review customer contracts and regional activities within area to meet margin requirements.
- Supply CEEMEA management with related area annual sales and expense budgets, as well as longer term strategic planning targets.
- Provide input into development and adjustment to sales organizational structure.
- Responsible for providing a rolled-up forecast with input from the regions in their area.
- Comply with and ensure adherence to the controlled documentation system, record retention, policies, procedures and processes for department to set and meet service levels required by customers in accordance with Corporate/Divisional guidelines, FDA and ISO 9001.
- Provide input from the customer’s perspective to all other business functions as required.
- Participate in development and management of sales incentives.
- Lead overall setup, operations, and governance of SEE and Türkiye operations.
- Act as liaison with Turkish authorities and stakeholders.
- Drive related country strategy execution aligned with global objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and legal frameworks.
- Represent the company in public and industry events.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare industry.
- Advanced English proficiency and strong command of MS Office tools.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
