How you’ll make an impact

As a Senior Loans Analyst, Corporate Financing and Senior Accounts, you’ll play a key role in structuring and evaluating lending solutions for some of the largest businesses in the Canadian agriculture and food industry.

You’ll work closely with Corporate Financing and Senior Accounts Directors to analyze complex transactions, assess risks, recommend appropriate credit structures, and support strategic decision-making. You’ll collaborate on large lending transactions, including syndicated credit facilities involving many lenders, financial partners and specialized stakeholders.

With your expertise in financial analysis and risk management, you’ll help develop solutions that support customer growth while ensuring prudent management of FCC’s portfolio.

If you’re a finance professional who excels at analyzing complex files, enjoys intellectual challenges, and wants to contribute to transactions that have a tangible impact on the future of the agriculture and food industry, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze complex financial information and prepare credit recommendations for medium- to large-sized businesses

  • Assess the financial, operational, industry and strategic risks associated with businesses operating in Canada and abroad

  • Evaluate and structure sophisticated lending solutions, including syndicated credit facilities, multi-entity structures, and transactions involving multiple stakeholders

  • Support Senior Relationship Managers and the Credit Management team by analyzing transactions, risks and customer needs, and recommending appropriate loan terms and conditions

  • Establish security conditions, covenants and requirements, while ensuring compliance with FCC policies and guidelines prior to submitting files for approval

  • Collaborate with customers and various internal and external partners, including chartered banks, financial advisors, law firms and other financial institutions involved in transactions

  • Provide ongoing transaction monitoring, oversee loan compliance, and contribute to the proactive management of a portfolio of complex accounts

  • Conduct industry and market analysis to support risk assessment and credit recommendations

  • Mentor and coach team members to foster skill development, consistent practices and operational excellence

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or corporate lending (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Advanced education is an asset

  • Experience in analyzing, structuring and recommending complex lending solutions

  • Ability to assess sophisticated financial structures, complex business risks, and risk mitigation measures

  • Experience supporting transactions involving multiple lenders and stakeholders, including syndicated credit facilities

  • Strong ability to communicate, collaborate and influence others in order to present recommendations to decision-makers at various levels

Not sure you meet every requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway.
