About the role:
We are looking for a Cloud and Enterprise Infrastructure, Lead Specialist with hands-on experience in managing on-premises virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for supporting VMware, Hyper-V, Windows & Linux Server environments, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills and be capable of managing day-to-day infrastructure operations in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities
On-Prem & Cloud Infrastructure
- Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi Hosts, and vCenter environments.
- Manage Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms and clusters.
- Provision, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual machines.
- Perform infrastructure patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and ensure high availability of services.
- Support hardware lifecycle management and infrastructure refresh activities.
- Manage and support Azure and AWS cloud resources.
- Provision and maintain Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, and Backup Services.
- Support cloud migration and hybrid connectivity initiatives.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize costs.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure incidents and service issues.
- Administer Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and File Services.
- Work with Linux servers (RHEL/Ubuntu) for administration and troubleshooting.
Infrastructure Engineering & Automation
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform) to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to implement resilient, secure, and standardized infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Design, implement, and enhance hybrid infrastructure solutions across VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud platforms to improve scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption and platform upgrades
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Operations, System Administration, or Hybrid Infrastructure Support.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter administration.
- Experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux Server administration and core infrastructure services.
- Hands on Experience in Cloud Platform ( Microsoft Azure/AWS.Google)
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions such as Commvault.
- Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms such as Grafana.
- Good understanding of enterprise networking:
- OSI L1 - L3
- DNS
- Routing & switching
- Firewalls
- Load balancing
- Wireless networking
- VPN
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Manage and maintain source code repositories using Bitbucket.
- Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Experience using ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow and Jira.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Exposure to cloud migration and datacenter transformation projects.
- Knowledge of security, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- AWS Solutions Architect / SysOps
- Azure Administrator / AZ-104
- ITIL Foundation
