Job Description
The Royal Stables Private Members Club in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Recreation Supervisor (Children’s Club) to oversee engaging, safe, and high-quality activities and experiences for children and families. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Children’s Club and recreation areas.
- Plan and coordinate age-appropriate recreational, educational, creative, sporting, and equestrian-related activities.
- Ensure all children are supervised, safe, engaged, and appropriately cared for at all times.
- Welcome children and families and provide a warm, friendly, and professional experience.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, registrations, parental consent, incidents, and special requirements.
- Verify authorised pick-up arrangements and follow child safeguarding procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding activities, requirements, and feedback.
- Supervise and support recreation attendants, activity leaders, and childcare team members.
- Prepare activity schedules, daily plans, event programmes, and seasonal initiatives.
- Ensure all play areas, equipment, toys, facilities, and activity spaces are clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report hazards, damage, incidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Coordinate with guest relations, membership, hospitality, events, equestrian, and operations teams.
- Support children’s parties, family events, school-holiday programmes, and member activities.
- Manage activity equipment, supplies, games, crafts, sports materials, and inventory.
- Ensure activities are inclusive, engaging, age-appropriate, and suitable for varying abilities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to behavioural concerns, accidents, emergencies, or complaints.
- Follow all child protection, health, safety, hygiene, first-aid, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure the Children’s Club reflects the Royal Stables’ luxury positioning and service standards.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling children’s, member, guest, and family information.
- Prepare regular reports on attendance, participation, incidents, feedback, and activity performance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of children’s services and family experiences.
- Perform other recreation, children’s club, family experience, and operational duties as required.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- 2+ years of experience in children’s clubs, childcare, recreation, education, camps, resorts, private clubs, or a similar role.
- Proven experience supervising children and coordinating age-appropriate activities.
- Strong knowledge of child safeguarding, health, safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
- First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, guardians, and colleagues.
- Warm, patient, energetic, responsible, and engaging personality.
- Strong leadership, supervision, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage groups of children calmly and confidently.
- Creative approach to planning activities, games, and family experiences.
- Professional, polished, discreet, and service-oriented.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.
- Experience in luxury hospitality, family clubs, equestrian activities, or VIP environments is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly desirable.
