Starting Pay Rate: $19.40 2nd Shift Differential: $1.50

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full Time

Description: At Bama, the Shipping and Receiving Multi-skilled Warehouse Specialist is expected to understand and perform a minimum of 2 warehouse job functions and tasks. This position would be directly responsible for ensuring a high-quality safe product while minimizing damage, meeting customer expectations, and ensuring a safe work environment and practices. The Multi-skilled Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for working in multiple positions which could be at any Bama facility.

 

Essential Job Functions/Job Responsibilities: 

 

Duties: •Understand Shipping / Receiving and warehouse processes and possess the ability to drive continuous improvement. •Ensure all paperwork is filled out and processed correctly for area of responsibility. •Assist in Troubleshooting failures identify corrective actions. •Understand quality standards, follow and those standards and knowing what to do and who to contact when some process is not functioning correctly. Minimum Qualifications: •Must be able to complete the certification process in a minimum of 2 warehouse functions such as: Bulk receiving, Line Support (Line Driver and Freezer Input), Shipping/Receiving, Inventory clerk, & Shuttle Driver • Must participate in accident investigation and completion of follow-up reporting. •Understand quality standards, follow those standards and know what to do and who to contact when some process is not functioning correctly.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to complete the certification process in a minimum of 2 warehouse functions such as: Bulk receiving, Line Support (Line Driver and Freezer Input), Shipping/Receiving, Inventory clerk, & Shuttle Driver • Must participate in accident investigation and completion of follow-up reporting.

Required Qualifications: HSD/GED, Understand warehouse guidelines for food safety and sanitation. Microsoft Word, Power point, Excel, Warehouse Experience with sit down and stand-up forklift operation.
