We are particularly interested in students who are excited to explore careers in Surface Water, Water & Wastewater, Land Development, Surface Transportation, and Aviation Engineering. Interns have the opportunity to contribute to projects in one or more of these disciplines while gaining valuable hands-on experience and mentorship from industry professionals.

What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you'll support project teams while gaining experience in a variety of engineering disciplines, including Surface Water, Water & Wastewater, Land Development, Surface Transportation, and Aviation Engineering. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with engineering design and analysis
• Performing design calculations
• Preparing plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Conducting construction observation and field work
• Assisting with technical reports and project reviews
• Supporting project coordination and oversight under the guidance of experienced engineers
• Reviewing in-house designs and technical documents
• Participating in special projects and team initiatives
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and technical staff
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're seeking motivated, curious, and community-minded individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Willingness to work in construction and field environments, including varying weather and site conditions, as required

• Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.00 Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and year in school.
