About the role
Talos is searching for a skilled software developer to join our growing internal software development team. An ideal candidate will have experience with OOP, source control, and familiarity with Agile practices. The role requires close collaboration with developers, PMs, SMEs, and other stakeholders both internally and externally.
In this role, you will…
· Write CM code in Emacs, for an existing extension of Configura’s CET Designer platform.
· Work alongside the other developers in the large codebase using Git for source code control.
· Track code tasks using Jira.
· Occasionally write SQL queries and create new tables.
· Participate in Agile meetings such as Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, Code Review sessions, Retros, and work in Sprints.
· Communicate with teammates in-person, via Microsoft Teams calls/chats, or via email.
· Occasionally need to work in CAD software.

·Must Reside in the United States and be able to work a majority of their day overlapping the Central Time Zone.
Software development work history or related degree
· Working knowledge of Configura’s proprietary CM programming language, or experience with an OOP language like C++/C# and a willingness to learn CM.
· Willingness to learn Emacs code editor, if not already familiar
· Experience using Source Control for development, such as Git
· Clear written and oral communication
· Teachable spirit

· Enjoy solving complex problems
· Professional demeanor
Nice to haves…
· Working knowledge of Configura’s CET Designer platform
· Comfortable with 3D coordinates
· Familiarity with Jira or other task-tracking software
· Experience writing efficient code for real-time 3D applications
· Familiarity with SQL tables and queries
· Comfortable presenting during Microsoft Teams calls when needed
· Experience with Autodesk Inventor
