JOB TITLE SUMMARY
Job Title: Specialist, Transfer Credit and Systems
Division: Academic Affairs

Job Summary
The Specialist, Transfer Credit is responsible for leading the university’s transfer and articulation processes and is the lead contact for evaluating and posting transfer credit including college transfer credit, standardized tests, military credit, and AP and IB exams. The position oversees the OneOrigin Sia transfer AI and manages the College Course TES database.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Maintains familiarity with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations and privacy laws governing higher education
- Serves as primary expert for all issues and questions related to the interpretation and application of transfer credit evaluation policies and procedures
- Manages processes related to the creation, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects relevant to the evaluation of transfer credit
- Collaborates with enrollment counselors, college departments, advisors, and academic services in determining the ability of credits to transfer to meet general education and program requirements
- Collects and maintains data related to volume, efficiency, and productivity
- Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to implement best practices related to transfer and articulation
- Completes unofficial and official transcript evaluations
- Assists returning students with assessing how previous credits will apply to the current academic programs
- Independently resolves student issues and complaints
- Maintains the university’s transfer database within Anthology Student and College Source TES
- Manages the university’s transfer AI system and coordinates with the IT Enterprise team on essential updates and integrations
- Oversees all aspects of the transfer equivalency process and holds academic college partners accountable for completing timely credit evaluations
- Coordinates with Athletics to integrate incoming athlete evaluations with the master transfer data base
- Trains advisors, Academic Services staff, faculty, and administrators on the use of transfer systems and transfer evaluation processes
Service Excellence
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
- Works events for Honors Convocation and Commencement ceremonies (if applicable)
- Interacts with students, faculty, staff, coaches, and alumni in a professional manner
- Provides excellent customer service via email and phone, answering questions regarding Academic Services procedures
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
- Answers questions via telephone or email, or by assisting walk-ins (if applicable)
- Resolves issues within an efficient timeframe

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Familiarity with FERPA regulations and privacy laws governing higher education
- Minimum of 1 year experience within the field of higher education required
