How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

The Residency Program Coordinator supports medical education program operations, coordinates activities with faculty and residents, and maintains an organized and effective learning environment.

The Residency Program Coordinator

• Supports and coordinates the infrastructure necessary to provide graduate medical education.

• Compiles and analyzes data.

• Participates in developing, preparing, and documenting projects and reports as needed. Utilizes and performs functions within the MedHub residency management system.

• Coordinates and prepares documentation required by regulatory and accrediting organizations, specialty boards and societies, and applicable state and federal agencies.

• Coordinates resident and faculty recruitment activities, including preparing interview schedules, arranging lodging and meals, coordinating tours.

• Assists with screening applicants through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

• Schedules meetings and prepares materials for conferences, educational activities, and committee meetings.

• Reviews monthly financial data and prepares reimbursement vouchers, travel requests, capital requests, and other financial documentation. Participates in departmental cost containment initiatives.

• Provides backup administrative support for faculty, including correspondence, calendar management, travel arrangements, telephone coverage, and other routine administrative functions.

• Coordinates attending physician on-call schedules, leave schedules, clinic schedules, specialty schedules, and faculty master schedules in accordance with guidelines.

• Coordinates orientation and checkout activities for medical students assigned to the department.

• Assists in planning and coordinating new resident orientation, including preparation of materials, meeting logistics, catering, and supplies.

• Coordinates resident and departmental events.

• Coordinates graduate medical education programs with management, staff, and internal and external customers.

• Prepares correspondence, reports, policies, procedures, and required program documentation.

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive resident, faculty, employee, patient, and program information.

• Orients new employees and may provide guidance to volunteers, students, support staff, and contract personnel.

What We Require:

Education: Associate's degree or 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience: None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: None required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications. Must be self-directed, able to work independently, detail-oriented, and maintain confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills required. Ability to prioritize work, manage changing priorities, handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy, and function effectively in a fast-paced office environment. Position may require occasional travel and extended or weekend hours when operationally necessary.

Compensation Range:

$20.10 - $28.14

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
