Team/Role Overview

Responsible for analysing, presenting and sharing capital and related data using Tableau and other tools as needed. Aim for as much transparency and accessibility as possible, empowering others to utilise data and tools.

Within Counterparty Trading & Risk, the Markets Capital Advancement team is the central team that drives and oversees execution and management of capital initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide data-driven analysis and insights to product desks and key business partners to support informed decision-making.
• Conduct strategic and complex data analysis, identifying key trends, insights and business implications, and translating findings into actionable recommendations and clear, effective data visualisations.
• Analyse and interpret data across multiple platforms and data sources to identify optimisation opportunities and continuously improve data quality.
• Partner with users and clients to assess and resolve complex system and process-related issues, evaluating business processes, systems and industry standards to recommend effective solutions.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Technology, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex requirements, challenges and solutions.
• Demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills when working across diverse teams and seniority levels.

Qualifications:

• Experience in data analytics involving large and complex datasets, ideally within Financial Markets.
• Proven ability to analyse business requirements, develop effective data visualisations, and identify and resolve complex data quality and integration issues.
• Advanced SQL and Tableau skills are essential; experience with Python or other programming languages would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information effectively.
• Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively both within the immediate team and across broader functions.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
• Ideally, a good understanding of and comfort working with derivatives modelling concepts.
• Undergraduate degree or higher in a numerate or quantitative discipline.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
