CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Bridge Team in Albany, NY. In this role, you will support water resources tasks on bridge engineering projects, contributing to hydraulic and hydrologic analyses that help inform the design and resilience of critical transportation infrastructure. Working alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals, you'll gain hands-on project experience, receive mentorship from technical experts, and build the skills needed to grow a successful career while making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for bridge projects
- Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
- Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for bridge safety and durability
- Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in bridge design, evaluation, and inspection
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
- Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
- Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:
$72,000 - $78,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
