Description

Job title- Student Success & Advocacy Manager

K21 Academy is a UK-headquartered IT and AI career training company that has helped more than 46,000 professionals across 40+ countries move their careers forward. Our core program is a high-touch, cohort-based AI and Cloud career coaching experience built for working tech professionals — developers, DevOps/SRE and cloud engineers, product and business analysts, and data engineers/scientists — who want a real career outcome, not just another course.

Students get a personalized roadmap, one-to-one mentorship, mock interviews, and a placement guarantee backed by real accountability: if a qualifying role isn't landed inside the program timeline, students get additional time and support, and ultimately a refund if the outcome still isn't achieved after they've held up their end of the work.

The Role

This is a relationship-adjacent role, not a relationship-owning one. You'll be close to students throughout their journey — checking in, watching their progress, and celebrating milestones with them — but our coaching team (Sahid, Saurabh, and Supriya) owns the actual coaching relationship and any intervention when a student is struggling. Your job is to see clearly and say something, then let them act.

The role has two halves, sequenced around the student journey:

1. Watch & Flag (lighter touch, ongoing)

- Track each active student's progress against their weekly/monthly targets and the conditions of our placement guarantee — module pace, job applications logged, mentorship attendance.
- Notice early warning signs — someone going quiet, falling behind, missing check-ins — and flag them promptly to the coaching team with enough context that they can act fast.

2. Interview & Amplify (the heart of the role

- When a student hits a milestone — a certification, a job offer, a big breakthrough — you're the one who sits down with them and draws out the real story: what they did, how they did it, what it took.
- Turn those conversations into testimonials, written reviews, and interview content that becomes part of our public proof — case studies, review videos, and social proof for people considering the program.
- Encourage and coordinate students to leave reviews (Trustpilot, Google, etc.) at the moments they're most motivated to.
- Build a light, ongoing rapport with students throughout their journey — not case management, but enough of a relationship that when their big moment comes, they trust you enough to open up.

What This Role Is NOT

- Not a coach — you don't set goals or run recovery conversations with struggling students.
- Not a desk-bound content writer — most of the value here is built in real conversations with real students.
- Not a case manager — flagged issues get handed to the coaching team, who own the resolution.

KPIs-

Watch & Flag

- % of active students with a completed check-in touchpoint on schedule.
- Number of at-risk students flagged, and how early relative to guarantee-deadline risk.
- Flag accuracy — % of flagged students the coaching team confirms were genuinely at risk.

Interview & Amplify

- Number of outcome interviews conducted per month.
