Keller is looking for a part-time Receptionist to assist our Chicago, Illinois office. The Receptionist role supports daily office operations by managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, maintaining office supplies, and serving as a key point of contact for employees, visitors, and customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day administrative tasks which responsibilities include:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
- Greet and assist customers, visitors, and employees.
- Order, manage, and distribute office supplies as needed.
- Prepare, format, and distribute correspondence, reports, memos, and other business documents.
- Coordinate deliveries, mail distribution, and collection of office materials and reports.
- Support administrative functions using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and calendar events for executives and team members.
- Provide general administrative support and assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Background Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Experience):
- Previous experience performing the responsibilities detailed above preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- A High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a standard office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating office equipment (e.g., keyboard, mouse, calculator)
- Ability to view and read information on a computer screen for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through electronic means
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment
- Ability to lift and carry office materials (e.g., files, documents, or equipment) up to 5–10 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while performing detailed, repetitive tasks
- May require extended periods of concentration and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
