The Learning and Engagement Manager leads employee learning, organizational development, People and Culture (P&C) communications, engagement, events, and Passion Community initiatives across FWD Philippines.The role ensures these initiatives are aligned with business priorities, leadership direction, employee needs, and FWD’s culture and values. It uses employee data and feedback to make learning, communication, and engagement initiatives more relevant, meaningful, and effective across the organization.
1. Learning Strategy, Needs Analysis and Capability Planning
• Lead learning needs analysis across functions using business priorities, employee feedback, performance insights, workforce plans, and stakeholder input.
• Identify capability gaps and recommend learning priorities aligned with organizational goals.
• Partner with P&C Business Partners (PCBPs), local P&C Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), functional leaders, and Group L&D teams.
• Provide recommendations on learning strategies, leadership development, future skills, and capability-building priorities.
2. Program Design, Development and Learning Delivery
• Design the learning curriculum for FWD Philippines.
• Develop, and deliver learning programs for employees, people managers, and mid-level leaders.
• Create practical and engaging learning content using instructor-led, blended,
• Apply adult learning principles, FWD values, leadership behaviors, and culture-building priorities in program design.
• Facilitate selected programs, especially on leadership, communication, manager effectiveness, employee experience, and soft skills.
3. People and Culture Communications
• Own the development and execution of People and Culture communications.
• Translate key initiatives, policy updates, leadership messages, learning campaigns, and engagement programs into clear and employee-friendly communication.
• Ensure messages are aligned with FWD brand, values, Speak Clarity principles, governance requirements, and data privacy guidelines.
• Provide practical recommendations to P&C leadership on communication approach, sequencing, employee impact, and message clarity.
4. Employee Engagement, Events and Passion Communities
• Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of P&C-led employee engagement activities and events.
• Manage recognition initiatives, culture-building programs, and Passion Community initiatives.
• Ensure activities are purposeful, meaningful, well-executed, and aligned with employee sentiment, business context, and culture priorities.
• Use participation data, post-activity feedback, Peakon/pulse insights, and employee feedback to improve relevance, experience, and impact.
5. Evaluation, Insights and Continuous Improvement
• Measure the effectiveness of learning, communications, and engagement initiatives.
• Use feedback, participation data, business impact indicators, stakeholder input, and employee sentiment to assess outcomes.
• Identify patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend enhancements to improve learning outcomes, communication clarity, event experience, and engagement impact.
6. Stakeholder Partnership, OD Support and Delivery Discipline
• Partner with P&C leaders, Corporate Communications, business stakeholders, Group teams, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of learning, communication, engagement, and OD initiatives.
• Manage competing priorities with practical judgment, especially during peak periods.
• Sequence work clearly, surface risks early, and ensure commitments are delivered with quality.
Knowledge and Skills:
Education & Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Certification in learning design, facilitation, coaching, organizational development, employee engagement, project management, or change management is an advantage.
• Minimum 7–10 years of combined experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, HR Business Partnering, or related People and Culture roles.
• Strong experience designing and delivering learning programs, employee communications, engagement activities, and organization-wide initiatives.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and translating leadership priorities into practical employee-facing programs and messages.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
