Job Description

We are looking for a Emergency Preparedness Regional Nurse to provide clinical oversight and deliver point of care services through mobile healthcare operations across Indiana. This position will be Part-Time and Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. Frequent travel throughout the state is required to support mobile clinic operations.

What You'll Do

• Provide onsite point of care services including vaccinations, testing, and related nursing services
• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, state regulations, and agency infection control policies and procedures
• Deliver clinical oversight and nursing expertise to support mobile clinic operations
• Maintain proficiency in nursing practices, point of care testing, infection prevention, and phlebotomy procedures
• Complete all required patient documentation accurately and within established timelines
• Monitor, document, and report clinical concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information
• Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
• Travel to various locations throughout Indiana to support mobile health initiatives
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
• Support public health initiatives designed to protect the health, safety, and well-being of Indiana residents
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

Required:

• Valid Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license; Registered Nurse (RN) license strongly preferred
• Knowledge of infection control practices, vaccinations, point of care testing, and phlebotomy
• Experience providing direct patient care in clinical, public health, or community health settings
• Ability to work independently without onsite clinical supervision
• Knowledge of nursing principles, standards of care, and nursing procedures
• Ability to identify and respond to potential health and safety concerns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency using computer systems and software to enter, retrieve, and maintain patient records
• Valid Indiana Driver's License with the ability to travel extensively throughout the state
• Ability and willingness to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Professional demeanor and ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations
• Commitment to public health and patient-centered care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to meet pre-deployment requirements, including physical examinations, respiratory/mask fit testing, and required vaccinations

Preferred:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous phlebotomy experience
• Current CPR certification
• Teaching, training, or staff education experience
• Experience supporting mobile healthcare clinics or community-based health programs
• Experience working within public health, long-term care, or population health environments

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
• Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
• Ability to travel to multiple locations and mobile clinic sites throughout Indiana
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide direct patient care for extended periods during clinic operations

$45 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
